Return of the Honda Rebel | NEWS

HONDA HAS UNVEILED two new low-capacity cruisers for 2017 in a bid to cut itself a slice of the lucrative and on-trend bobber pie.

Repurposing the powerplants of its CBR500R and CBR300R, Honda has bolted the engines into a tubular steel cruiser-style chassis, suspended on a dual shock rear end and a conventional 41mm fork. Rolling on 16-inch wheels, the seat height measures a very accessible 690mm and the Rebel 500 (the only model destined for the Aussie marketplace) tips the scales at 188kg (kerb).

No word on price at this stage, but it’ll be available in silver, red and black.
