Wakefield battles noise complaints | NEWS

The New South Wales circuit of Wakefield Park will be forced to defend itself in the NSW Land and Environment Court later this year, after the council says it is exceeding noise limits imposed on the facility. The track, which generates an estimated $15 million a year for the local economy, says the goalposts have been moved, revealing previously agreed to operating conditions were being adhered to, though were changed just three months later. “We agreed to those after many months of work. There were some restrictions put in but we (went along) with them and that’s the disappointing thing,”Benalla Auto Club CEO Chris Lewis-Williams told the Goulburn Post.
