So you think Kawasaki’s supercharged H2R is just an engineering and marketing exercise? A bike designed to turn heads more than it is to ride?

We managed to borrow one of the first privately owned H2Rs in Australia from Kawasaki nut and proprietor of SA Motorcycles, Evan Byles, for a proper race-pace shakedown around the superfast and challenging Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit.

AMCN Road Test Editor, Paul Young, cut some laps to see if the H2R is built purely for shock and straight line domination, or whether it has the goods to mix it with the best supersport bikes around.
