Dropping thermometers have signalled the start of AMCN’s annual Winter Jacket Drive for 2017, and there’s only eight weeks to rustle up your old (or soon to be old) riding jackets to warm Australia’s homeless.
As usual, drop-off points are Shannons Insurance branches and Victory and Indian Motorcycles dealerships until June 27. Or you can leave them at the Robertson Pie Shop in NSW’s Southern Highlands on or before the Saturday, 24 June AMCN mobile collection point event.
You can also bung it in the post directly to Mission Australia, the wonderful charity where they’ll all end up, if that’s more convenient. The address is: PO Box 211, Goulburn, NSW, 2580.
There’s no better reason to update your tired riding jacket, and no better way to convince your better half it’s time for a new one. So warm your heart, warm those who need it more than you and donate your jacket to a bloody good cause.
