Volunteer Track Officials still required at Phillip Island WorldSBK! | NEWS

Volunteer Official registrations are still being accepted for the 2019 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship, Yamaha Finance Round, Phillip Island, February 22 -24.

Get a front-row seat to the 2019 season opener, which is set to be a thriller with Phillip Island launching the world first three-race format.

The production-based series expansion will see the first and third races to be held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons follow the traditional longer WorldSBK format, bookending a no-holds-barred ‘sprint’ shootout on Sunday morning.

The opening round is also set to host the highly anticipated 2019 season of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK), where the Australian YMI Superbikes, Australian Supersport and Australian Supersport 300 will take to the track.

Volunteer officials provide vital assistance to the competitors over the event weekend through a variety of roles, and receive a range of benefits including;

  • Two complimentary 3-day General Admission guest passes
  • FREE Camping for Volunteer Officials and up to two guests
  • Complimentary lunch provided each day of the event
  • 10% discount on breakfast items for all Volunteer Officials

A highlight for previous world superbike official, Tony Bolin is how close you can get to the action;

“It’s an outstanding experience – there’s no way to get any closer to the action unless you are actually racing! I’ve met hundreds of like-minded bike nuts and have made quite a few close friends over the years”

 Everyone is welcome to apply, roles exist that do not require experience and all applications are considered.
