VARIETY POSTIE BIKE BASH KICKS OFF

Epic six-day Postie bike Bash kicks off on Sunday 3 November in Tamworth

62 Variety Postie Bike Dashers will start their adventure through regional NSW to help kids who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs when they ride out of Tamworth on their Honda CT110 or Honda NBC110 motorcycles on Sunday 3 November.

The six-day charity ride starts in Tamworth and will travel through Tingha, Tenterfield, Tabulam, Casino, Lismore, Coutts Crossing, Glen Innes, Bald Blair, and Armidale before arriving back in Tamworth at 12.30 pm, Friday 8 November.

The Dashers will also inject more than $15,000 into every town they stop at overnight and more than $4,000 for their lunch stops when they pay for accommodation, food, petrol, and incidentals.

The Variety Postie Bike Dash is aiming to raise more than $150,000 to help kids overcome barriers to reach their full potential.
.
Along the way, Sir Henry Parkes Public School, Casino Public School, Tabulam Public School, Bald Blair Public School, and Peel High School will receive donations of equipment and resources to ensure the kids at these schools don’t miss out.

“The Variety Postie Bike Dash is a fun way for those with a sense of adventure to help regional communities and give kids a fair go,” Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT, David Sexton said.

“We’ll be taking our Dashers through the back roads of country NSW and using the funds raised to support kids in need. We’ll be granting kids at the schools visited vital resources such as laptops and outside classroom seating which they might not otherwise have access to.”
“We’re delighted to be supporting Variety through the Postie Bike Dash once again,” First National Real Estate CEO, Ray Ellis said.

“Kids are our future and anything we can do to minimise disadvantage at an early stage in life creates the greatest opportunity for happy and fulfilled adults.”
