Australia’s newest motorsport precinct is on schedule for completion later this year. The Bend Motorsport Park at Tailem Bend in South Australia is set to officially open in January.
Seven months into construction, the earthworks are all but complete and the next three months are earmarked for kerbing and barrier installation. “Around September we’ll lay the bitumen, and once it’s laid you wait eight to 12 weeks for it to cure,” said The Bend motorsport development and operations manager Paul Trengove.
