John McCabe has designed a special racebike and helmet livery in a bid to raise more awareness of breast cancer in women under the age of 50. While current advice and checks to prevent breast cancer are slanted to towards women over 50, McCabe’s 38-year-old wife Marieke was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer earlier this year. “The ultimate aim for awareness is a ride in the 600 support race at next year’s WSBK,” the father of two said. “But that is so far down the track and obviously costly, it’s not more than a pipe dream at the moment.” To help John and his family out, get in touch at john23mccabe@gmail.com.
