Harley-Davidson Sport Glide | NEWS

We take another look at one of the new models we saw at EICMA this year. AMCN was there to witness the the hottest reveals at the biggest international motorcycle show in the world…

More than a year ago AMCN exclusively revealed that Harley-Davidson was planning to revive the Sport Glide name. We said it would be a new bagger, taking on the same role as the FXR-based Sport Glide that was made from 1983-1993.

Now it’s here, and it’s exactly that.

Based on the new-for-2018 Softail chassis with the Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, the Sport Glide gets a 43mm USD fork and a remote-adjustable shock. Notably, the screen and panniers can be unclipped to convert it into a naked cruiser in minutes.

The bike is also notable for its directional alloy wheels – it’s the first non-CVO Harley to get them.
