Ariel teases R-spec Ace! | NEWS

Only 10 top-spec models will be produced

Revived British motorcycle brand Ariel will whip the covers off an even higher spec Honda VFR1200F-powered Ace nakedbike, using its native NEC Show in Birmingham as the stage for the world premiere.

There’s not a lot of specifics known at this stage, however, this sketch released by the firm appears to show the obligatory R-model componentry will be present. Expect top-shelf suspension and braking packages, and the black paint scheme suggests plenty of carbon fibre.

What the company has released, though, is its strictly limited production run of just 10 units, and that means an exclusive high-end machine in anyone’s language.

“We’ll release the full specification at the NEC show,” Ariel’s Tom Siebert told UK bike mag MCN “But I can say the R has a lot of carbon, a lot of machined aluminium, and a lot of power.”

No mention on price, of course, but expect it to be a lot. Watch this space.

The standard Ace costs £20,000 (around AU$33,000) so expect the R to cost a fair whack more
