2019 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT | NEWS

When launched in 2018, stock of Yamaha’s all-new Tracer 900 GT sold out within weeks. Now Yamaha’S 2019 Tracer 900 GT has arrived.
An extensive list of standard-fitment upgrades over the base model Tracer 900 includes 20-litre matt black hard-shell panniers, cruise control, TFT dash, heated grips, quick-shift system, premium adjustable suspension with fork legs that can be dialled in for compression and rebound, and a remote preload adjuster for the upgraded rear monoshock.

A compact and powerful 847cc triple-cylinder CP3 engine is housed in a lightweight aluminium chassis, with a lengthened swingarm designed for increased stability. Back-torque, generated when changing down gears under braking, is limited by the assist and slipper clutch, providing additional stability on corner entry.

Three selectable engine maps are available at the press of a button with Yamaha’s D-MODE system. A button press is also all it takes to adjust the two-level traction control system that can also be disengaged. The easy to use and understand electronic functions are all displayed on a bright TFT colour screen, with the scroll-through menu controlled by a small wheel-type switch within reach of the rider’s right-hand thumb.

Riders looking to truly test the Grand Touring part of the Tracer 900 GT’s moniker will benefit from the large adjustable touring screen, extra comfort seat and long-range 18-litre fuel tank, good for 300km between refills. Pillion comfort has not been forgotten, with ergonomic passenger footpegs and a grab rail.

The 2019 Tracer 900 GT is now available from Yamaha dealerships Australia-wide in Midnight Black colour scheme with an RRP of $18,199.
