Honda Australia is celebrating David Walsh’s victory at the 50th anniversary of the Tatts Finke Desert Race with a special edition CRF450RX
Honda Australia has announced a limited production run of CRF450RX Finke Limited Edition models, drawing inspiration from the 50th running of the Tatts Finke Desert Race and the brand’s latest success in the red centre.

Based on the 2025 CRF450RX, the new special edition arrives as a tribute to both the event’s half century milestone and Honda’s long standing record in one of Australia’s toughest off-road races. Honda says it has won 21 of the 50 editions contested in the bike category, underlining its deep connection to the famous desert endurance event.

The CRF450RX Finke Limited Edition will be finished in Extreme Red and comes fitted with more than $3,500 worth of endurance racing-inspired equipment. Key additions include an HGS stainless steel exhaust system, an IMS 12-litre fuel tank, and a commemorative Finke 50th Anniversary SKDA graphics kit and seat cover package.

Honda Australia has priced the model from $16,399 RRP, which is a $1,500 premium over the standard CRF450RX.
Chris Schultz, General Manager – Powersports and Products at Honda Australia, said the bike was designed to honour the company’s local off-road racing heritage.

“The Finke Desert Race has been an important part of Honda’s off-road racing story here in Australia for decades, and this special edition model celebrates that connection,” Schultz said.
“The CRF450RX Finke Limited Edition pays tribute to one of Australia’s most iconic motorsport events, and we’re excited to offer riders the opportunity to own a unique piece of Honda’s racing history.”
Customers interested in securing one of the limited-edition motorcycles are encouraged to contact their local Honda dealer for more information.
