Supermoto racing in Newcastle this September will be different to the past two years due to ongoing preparations for the 2017 V8 Supercar finale means it can’t use Newcastle harbour’s picturesque foreshore course. Instead, the 2017 Newcastle International Supermoto, incorporating the inaugural FIM Oceania Supermoto Championship, will be staged at the Newcastle Showground. According to promoter Graeme Boyd, the event has already attracted interest from several past world champions from various disciplines.
