Cleared to race after a heavy Saturday crash, the Aussie dug deep to salvage valuable WorldWCR points
Tayla Relph has battled through a bruising Dutch Round at TT Assen to salvage an eighth place finish in Race 2 of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship, less than 24 hours after a heavy Saturday crash left her race day participation in doubt.

The Full Throttle Racing rider was given the all clear by the medical centre after the Warm Up session and then produced a hard earned points scoring ride in tricky conditions, with a cold Sunday morning and rain falling in the opening sector prior to the start. While the front of the field lit up in a late race showdown for victory, the Australian’s focus was simply getting to the chequered flag and limiting the damage after a weekend that had promised far more on pace.

“The weekend that could have been. I gave it everything I had today and honestly, I am proud of what we achieved. From waking up this morning not knowing if I could race, to recovering a P8 this afternoon in Race 2 and salvaging whatever points we could. I dug deep in that last lap and got myself back to the group battling for 4th place. Honestly from being a tumbled weed and getting hit by 3 bikes, to recover to a P8 finish less than 24 hours later.. I will take that.
I was so fast this weekend right from Free Practice, and it’s just so frustrating that we didn’t get to showcase that when it all mattered. But still, we SHOWED we have genuine podium pace, and that’s why we can leave this weekend with our heads held high and proud.
Thank you everyone for all of your messages over the course of the weekend.. we will keep working, and head to Italy tomorrow to hopefully get some more scans! Next up… Balaton”

Ahead of Relph, Yvonne Cerpa (MotosCerpa-Gradara Corse) turned her eighth place grid spot into seventh at the finish, while Pakita Ruiz (PR46+1 Racing Team) returned to the top 10 in ninth after her Race 1 crash ended a streak of scoring in every WorldWCR race. Mallory Dobbs (YVS Sabadell Diva Racing) completed the top 10 with her best result since Magny-Cours last season, and Paola Ramos (Klint Racing Team) took no part in the race after being ruled unfit following her Race 1 crash.

At the front, Spain’s Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha) claimed her first win of the 2026 season and fifth career victory, overhauling championship leader Maria Herrera (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR) with a decisive move into the final chicane to win a tense duel. Lucie Boudesseul (GMT94 Yamaha) completed the podium in third, her first rostrum since the 2025 season finale.
In the championship, Spain’s Maria Herrera continues to lead on 90 points, with Beatriz Neila closing in on 77. Roberta Ponziani holds third with 52 ahead of Paola Ramos on 45, while Muklada Sarapuech rounds out the top five on 34, as Tayla Relph sits 11th overall with 22 points.
