Shoei X-Spirit III helmet | RIDING GEAR + EQUIPMENT

Wearing the proper size helmet and choosing one with good ventilation are two things you should consider before worrying about the pretty pattern on its shell.

Whatever helmet you choose, make it the best your budget can afford, then go an extra step. And buy from a reputable dealer with a range of options, where they assist with correct fitting.

For the past two racing seasons I’ve protected my noggin with a Shoei X-Spirit III, not only because it’s comfortable and packed with safety features, but because it allows my head to remain cool, even on hot summer race days.

At first glance the X-Spirit III appears to have limited ventilation points, but thanks to the high-flow design, cheek-pad cooling system and smartly designed exhaust vents, there’s always a soothing flow of cool air circulating through the deep air-flow channels. The visor also has a locking point just shy of fully closed for those who like a little wind in their face.
