PR Racing To Make International Roads Return At Macau With Australian Star David Johnson | SPORT

British Superbike Championship stalwart’s PR Racing are set to make a notable return to International Roads competition, at the upcoming Macau Grand Prix, having secured the services of Australian star David Johnson to pilot the outfits S1000RR BMW.

No stranger to the Liverpool based outfit, Adelaide’s Johnson is hugely looking forward to working again with the team, with which he enjoyed strong results a plenty at the TT’s of 2012, 2013 and 2014, including banking a fourth-place finish within the Superstock race of TT 2014.

Established amongst the premier echelon of International Road Racing, the calm, cool, laid back Johnson has quietly impressed in 2018, including on the fabled, illustrious, mythical Mountain Course.

Teaming up with the SMR (Shaun Muir Racing) run Gulf BMW team, he added to his TT CV an additional trio of fourth place finishes, following highly accomplished performances in the RST Superbike, Royal London 360 Quantum Superstock races.

August’s MCE Insurance Ulster Grand Prix which saw ‘Davo’ pilot the distinctive HP4 Race BMW, yielded more excellent results including a battling third place finish in the feature Superbike race.

Confident about contending for a top five finish or better at Macau, he candidly recently stated:

“I’m happy to ride for PR Racing at Macau. I have ridden for them in the past and they have really stepped it up in the past few years so the bike will be competitive. I’m very confident of a top 5 finish, and gunning for a spot on the podium.”
