Jack focused on extending his 10 year premier-class career despite World Superbike interest

Jack Miller has confirmed retaining a place at Pramac Yamaha for 2026 remains his priority despite attracting serious attention for the World Superbike paddock.

It’s believed the Australian has received an offer of a three-year contract to race for Honda in World Superbike, while BMW is also interested. Yet the 30-year old feels he still has much to offer in MotoGP.

“I could go to Superbike and make better money, but I’m not here for that,” he reasoned. “I’m here to try and race the best in the world. That’s not taking anything away from those guys, I’m talking the most expensive, extreme, powerful motorcycles that you can ride.

“That’s why I enjoy it. I’m not saying that I don’t like Superbike. I love it. But we’ll explore options here first, because I don’t feel my time as a MotoGP rider is done. I still feel like I’m getting better with age.”

Miller at the Grand Prix of the Americas

Miller currently sits 18th in the 2025 MotoGP standings on 33 points. His strongest main race results so far have been a 5th-place finish at the US Grand Prix and a 7th-place finish at Silverstone, although there have also been 4 rounds where no points have been scored due to crashes and technical issues.

Miller will race for the Yamaha Racing Team at the Suzuka 8-hour, starting August 1st

Of the other Yamahas, Fabio Quartararo has been the best-performing YZR-M1 rider overall, currently sitting 11th on the championship table with 67 points, including a best finish of 2nd place at the Spanish GP. Alex Rins sits one position higher than Miller in the overall standings, in 17th position, but has yet to score a top-ten finish. Miller’s teammate, Miguel Oliveira, currently ranks as the lowest Yamaha in the standings in 23rd place, but has missed several rounds due to sustaining a ruptured sternoclavicular joint after being taken down in an incident with Aldeguer at the Argentine round.
