VARIETY ADVENTURE RIDE 2022 | EVENTS

Adventure bike riders will soon be rolling through the New England region to help kids in need and support regional communities.

The Variety Adventure Ride is a six-day event covering over 1000kms of picturesque countryside, departing from Tamworth on Sunday 18 September.

To take part, each participants must first raise a minimum of $2,000 for the Variety Children’s Charity.

The ride is not only a celebration of funds raised but will deliver a much needed economic boost to communities rebuilding after devastating floods includes stops in the Lismore/Ballina region.

40 bikes and 20 staff and volunteers will be participating this year aiming to raise over $40,000 to provide practical support for kids in remote locations to reach their full potential.

Variety NSW/ACT Head of Motoring and Events, Peter Harvey said riders are preparing their bikes for an incredible adventure.

“The Adventure Ride is not a race or a contest of any kind – it’s an adventure exploring the countryside by motorbike,” said Harvey.

“Riders do all their fundraising before hitting the road – helping kids and their families who are doing it tough and providing much needed support to regional communities.

The Variety Adventure Ride also benefits the towns it passes through, with more than $5,000 generally spent on local services and facilities in each town the group stops at.

It’s a terrific way to help two groups of people at once – kids and businesses who all deserve a fair go.”

Nick Johnson (Pickles National Manager – Industrial) is thrilled to be supporting the Variety Adventure Ride again.

“The Variety Adventure Ride is a terrific adventure with people who enjoy touring the countryside while making a real difference for others – Pickles is very proud to be part of this great event,” said Nick.
