Remote roads, big horizons and dust in your hair – Extreme Bike Tours is gearing up for its wildest year yet.

Adventure motorcycle operator Extreme Bike Tours (EBT) will deliver its biggest year yet in 2026, increasing departures by 57 per cent as travellers increasingly seek remote, off-grid experiences across Asia, Africa and eastern Europe.

Sri Lanka-based EBT, founded in 2010, will offer 22 guided motorcycle expeditions next year across nine destinations, including Nepal, India, Tibet, Mongolia, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Georgia, Namibia and Tanzania. The expansion comes as Australian riders emerge as the company’s largest market, accounting for 70 per cent of clients.

To meet growing demand, the company has added Japan, Thailand and Kyrgyzstan to its 2027 program, with two Kyrgyzstan departures already sold out and Japan tours nearing capacity.

EBT Founder, Ben Lloyd

Extreme Bike Tours Director Ben Lloyd said travellers were increasingly drawn to authentic, less-visited destinations and immersive adventure experiences.

“The acceleration of our business reflects a desire by more people to experience less-visited places ‘raw and wild’ – off the beaten track and off-grid, with the freedom of remote roads, dust in your hair and authentic immersions in local cultures,” Lloyd said.

“Our guests today are yearning wild adventures far from anywhere, and amongst them are a lot of intrepid Aussies who love two-wheeled trips on some of the world’s most amazing roads.”

The fully guided tours range from 10 to 21 nights and include motorcycles, fuel, mechanical support, meals, transfers and accommodation in hotels, guesthouses and tented camps.

EBT is also offering a 10 per cent discount on selected 2026 and 2027 departures to Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal for bookings made before May 24, 2026.

Among the featured itineraries is a 14-night Bhutan expedition departing in October 2026 and 2027 aboard Honda NX500 motorcycles. The 1250-kilometre route crosses the Himalayan kingdom from west to east, taking riders through mountain passes reaching 3750 metres and visiting landmarks including the famed Tiger’s Nest monastery. Prices start from US$5175 per person with the promotional code “BHUTANXT”.
