Gonzales storms to pole from Vietti and Canet

Manuel Gonzalez (LMD Intact GP) stormed to pole position for the Thai Moto2 Grand Prix at Chang International Circuit, setting the fastest lap with a time of 1’34.634. The Spanish rider edged out Celestino Vietti (HDR Heidrun) by just 0.036s, while Arón Canet (Fantic L. Sonego) secured third, 0.205s off pole.

Vietti fought hard but just missed out on pole

Senna Agius (LMD Intact GP) delivered an impressive P4, with Barry Baltus (Fantic L. Sonego) rounding out the top five. Meanwhile, Darryn Binder (ITALJET Gresini) continued his strong form in sixth place.

Fourth on the grid is a great way to start the season for Agius

With less than half a second covering the top 10 riders, Sunday’s 19-lap race promises to be an intense showdown in the sweltering Thai heat.
