The much-anticipated Michelin Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2018 is just around the corner, and the world’s best riders are reminiscing on their favourite parts of the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Exhilarating racing, coupled with incredible scenic views, makes for one epic weekend away with mates.

What are the riders looking forward to?

Jack Miller

“The Australian atmosphere, nice clean air. It’s nice to be home that’s for sure. I just love the GP, you know, the Aussie fans get into it – they’re definitely the most local fans that we go to on the calendar and it’s always good for a laugh, that’s for sure.”

Andrea Iannone

“So, I think Phillip Island is one of the best tracks in MotoGP. I have a very good memory of this track, in 2015 I had third in an amazing race.”

Danilo Petrucci

“To see the waves coming from the ocean and arrive on the land, and there is one of the best places in the world I have ever seen.”

Scott Redding

“Yeah, I do like the atmosphere. I like the way people talk to you and they treat you, they are quite happy and quite nice to help you. It’s just quite a relaxed environment, and I do like it, the atmosphere and the race weekend at Phillip Island is really good, everyone shows their support and that’s what a rider always needs.

Cal Crutchlow

“Well I’m actually really looking forward to coming this year, because I’m going to bring Willow my daughter and we’re going to go to the Safari park and see the koalas and things like that. It is a good Island and I do enjoy to come here.”

“The most favourite part, is for sure, riding this track.”
