Got a gap in the garage next to your Aventador that needs filling? Ducati have just the bike for you…
Most of us don’t need a motorcycle to match the Lamborghini in our garage. But if you are that person, Ducati has you covered with the Panigale V4 Lamborghini. It’s the third time Ducati and Lambo have teamed up – both are part of the Volkswagen Group – but this is the first time the Panigale has been given the Lambo treatment, despite it being a two-wheeled supercar.
As with the previous models, the Lamborghini name adds a substantial premium to the price, despite the changes over the Panigale V4 S it’s based on being mainly cosmetic. There’s a fraction more power, courtesy of a titanium Akrapovic silencer, and 2kg less weight thanks to both the pipe and copious use of carbon fibre. But it’s not really about the numbers. The changes to the bike’s appearance include new forged alloy wheels, a redesigned tail and wings, and Lamborghini-inspired paintwork.
Mechanical tweaks include a dry clutch, adjustable pegs and levers, and a billet alloy triple clamp. The bikes come with a track kit including a billet fuel cap, open carbon clutch cover and licence plate removal kit. They even come in a custom wooden crate.
If you’re buying one of the 630 standard examples (there’s also 63 available color matched to your Lambo), you’ll be forking out $A105,300. It could even be an investment as recent sales of the original Diavel 1260 Lamborghini models from 2021 show they’ve doubled in value on the used market.
Will anyone ride these bikes? Not many. We’ve found 15 Ducati Diavel Lamborghinis advertised, of which 12 have less than 1000km on the clock and nine fewer than 150km.
