SKY Racing Team VR46 Moto2 rider will miss Round 3 of the season after requiring surgery on a compartment syndrome in the right forearm

Moto2 rookie Nicolo Bulega (SKY Racing Team VR46) will miss the upcoming Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas after requiring surgery on a compartment syndrome in the right arm.

Bulega was forced to retire in Argentina with five laps to go after experiencing a reoccurrence of severe pain in his right arm and after heading back to Italy for further medical examinations, Bulega will undergo surgery on Tuesday. SKY Racing Team VR46 have confirmed there will be no replacement rider stepping in for the Italian in Austin, with the team hopeful of seeing the 19-year-old back on track in Jerez.

This means Luca Marini will be the sole representative in SKY Racing Team VR46 colours in the Moto2 class at the Circuit of the Americas.
