Riders ecstatic about going live!

Several riders are thrilled with the ASBK going live on TV and Live Stream for this Round, including superstars Troy Herfoss (Crankt Protein Honda Racing, CBR-1000SP), Alex Phillis (Apex Civil Construction, Yamaha YZF-R1) and Tom Toparis (Cube Racing Team, Kawasaki ZX-6R).

Reigning ASBK YMI Superbike Champion Herfoss shared; “It’s so good, over the years when I go and ride my push bike and have a drink with friends, they have often asked when they can catch my racing on TV and its often been shown two or three weeks later. Now I can say, just catch me live!”

Phillis is ecstatic about the exposure the footage will provide riders; “The live stream is very important, and puts footage of us out there for our sponsors and talent scouts. A lot of my friends have never had the chance to see me on the track live before, so now they can tune in on a Sunday to see me compete!” Phillis exclaimed.

Toparis was also elated, saying; “Its very good and a big step for the sport, hopefully it will get more people going to the races and spectating on the sidelines. It was great to have the sport on TV at all but having it live makes it more exciting and puts us right in the game!” The excited Motul Supersport rider finished.
