Walcha Motorcycle Rally has the green light
Preparations are in full swing for the 2021 Walcha Motorcycle Rally, to be held on 19 & 20 November in the New England High Country town of Walcha.
A great program of events is organised including guided road and adventure rides, show & shine of motorcycles, hot rods and vintage trucks, live music, demolition derby, wood chop, model railway exhibition, Backtrack Dog jumping, burnout comp, stunt rider, motorcycle gymkhana, Ag bike comp, exhibitors, bar and more…
Walcha sits at the crossroads of two of Australia’s best rides, including the Oxley Highway, making it a go-to destination for touring motorcyclists. The Walcha area also boasts 590kms of gravel roads for Adventure Riders to explore.
“Motorcyclists of all kinds (adventure bikes, road bikes, postie bikes and sidecars) are keen to hit the road, feel the wind on their faces and get out and about for a great weekend – after such a long time under restrictions”. “With friendly hospitality, stunning natural surrounds and amazing rides, Walcha is a great place to visit,” said Walcha Tourism Manager, Susie Crawford.
Tickets are $55 for the full Rally Pass, and you can Add on the Merch Pack and Extras for $45. Early Bird pricing for Merch Pack has been extended to 8 October, so get in quick if you would like this great pack which includes: the Official Rally t-shirt, patch, year bar, stickers, Map & Guide and 10 raffle tickets to win a Walcha Motorcycling weekend. Guided and supported rides need to be booked in advance at checkout when purchasing tickets online, as numbers are limited to 50 people per ride. Our local guides have planned great routes for these rides.
Camping is available at the showground, Rally Hub, for $30 per person and visitors can stay for up to 3 nights. A free town loop shuttle bus will also be provided so that attendees can enjoy all the wonderful things that are on offer in Walcha.
Walcha Motorcycle Rally will be operating under NSW Government health directives regarding Safe Workplans, restrictions and vaccination status at the time of the event. Tickets will be fully refunded in the event of a cancellation due to restrictions and lockdowns.
Arrive Thursday evening for welcome drinks, enjoy the Friday and Saturday program then use Sunday to make your way slowly home.
