A horror highside at One Raceway has left reigning ASBK champion Harrison Voight hospitalised and his title defence hanging by a thread.

Defending Australian Superbike Champion, Harrison Voight has his title defence shattered this afternoon after crashing in the final session of the day at a privately organised test at One Raceway at Goulburn. He was transported to Canberra hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Voight highsided at the final turn of the circuit known as the Fishhook suffering a compound fracture of the left knee and will definitely miss the second round of the title at The Bend (SA) next month (13-15 November). The severity of the injury also casts a large cloud over a possible return at the third round at One Raceway.

It is a bitter blow for the 20-year-old after an impressive start to the new look Summer Championship when he scored 3-1 results at the opening round of the ASBK title held alongside the MotoGP event at Philip Island, last weekend.

There were 25 riders from all classes in a shakedown for the third round of the championship at the venue at the beginning of December.
