Michelin Road 5 world launch Seville, Spain | EVENTS

AMCN is on its way to Seville Spain for the world launch of Michelin's new Road 5 sports touring tyre.

AMCN is on its way to Seville Spain to attend the world launch of Michelin’s new Road 5  tyre.

According to the information provided by Michelin prior to the launch, the new Road 5 takes the performance of its Sport Radial tyre range to a higher level. “The exciting newcomer comes from the DNA of the MICHELIN PILOT ROAD 4 which itself emerged as the European Sport Touring tyre market’s undisputed benchmark.”

One of the key new features of the Road 5 tyre is improved wet weather grip that remains optimal through the life of the tyre. To achieve this, Michelin has called on the MICHELIN XST X sipe technology from its road tyres. The new MICHELIN XST Evo motorcycle tyre technology features a combination of sipes and reservoirs designed to slice through surface water and improve the tyre’s water-clearance capacity. As the tyre wears, the sipes reveal wider grooves to increase its sea-to-land ratio to maintain its ability to clear water.

This is just one of the new feature of the Michelin Road 5 tyre AMCN will be testing at this week’s world launch.

Michelin’s new Road 5 is already available in Australia in a range of sizes for 17-inch rims. For further information, contact your nearest Michelin stockist.
