New Diavel gets the Granturismo V4 treatment.
The 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 adopts 168hp Granturismo engine with matching quad exhaust, updated lighting package and is now 13kg lighter for even more riding performance.
Road presence
The Diavel V4 draws inspiration from muscle cars and superheroes and looks like it’s ready to jump out of the starting blocks. The signature rear light cluster under the tail is positioned over the massive 240/45 rear tire, adding to the Diavel V4’s unmistakable appearance.
Engine
The Diavel adopts the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, for improved performance, dynamics and riding pleasure.
The V4 Granturismo (derived from the Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4) is powerful (168 hp) and torquey throughout the entire rev range, and is also light and compact. It is fuel efficient and low in emissions due to the extended deactivation system which shuts off the rear bank when stationary, and at low engine speeds under reduced load.
Chassis
The Diavel V4 has a dry weight of 223 kg, saving of more than 13 kg compared to the Diavel 1260 S, thanks to the lightness of the V4 Granturismo and components including inverted 50-mm forks and adjustable cantilever shocks. The 330mm discs and Brembo calipers offer high performance stopping power usually reserved for race bikes thanks to the re-calibrated ABS system.
As previous models, the low seat (790mm from the ground), central footpegs and high handlebars make for easier handling and a comfortable riding position. Comfort has also been improved with an added 15mm travel to the rear suspension and wide, well-profiled seat, including removable passenger seat as standard.
Electronics
The comprehensive electronic package offers three Power Modes and four Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban and the new Wet , designed for low-grip surfaces. The Riding Modes allow the rider to adapt the engine delivery and the intervention of the riding aid systems (Ducati Traction Control in Cornering version, ABS Cornering and Ducati Wheelie Control) to the rider’s situation and preferences.
Cruise Control makes highway trips more cruisy, while Launch Control provides scorching starts and Ducati Quick Shift up/down makes shifting more racey.
All electronics are managed through backlit controls on the handlebars and 5-inch color TFT dash, which also offers Bluetooth connectivity to pair the smartphone for calls, text messages and music, or use the Turn-by-turn navigation system (available as an accessory) via the Ducati Link App.
The Ducati Diavel V4 will be available in Australia and New Zealand starting from April 2023 with prices starting from $41,100 ride away.
