Motorcycling Australia has released the provisional calendar for the 2018 racing season revealing changes to the MX Nationals Championship structure.
The 2018 MX Nationals will still be contested over 10 rounds, however, the championship will visit two fewer locations and instead feature two double-header weekends.
Rounds 7 & 8 will be held on the same May weekend in Newcastle, NSW while Rounds 3 & 4 will be run on the same July weekend at Wonthaggi, Vic.
The format is similar to the Australian Off-Road Championship, which will continue to run double-header weekends for all 11 rounds expect Round 7, which will be held at the new location of Broken Hill.
A five-round Australian Supercross Championship is pencilled in with all but one of the five locations TBC
