A strong group of emerging riders will take on more than 120 competitors at this weekend’s 2026 MSC MOTO Australian Junior Track Championships on the Central Coast, following in the footsteps of Aussie world champs

A contingent of talented young motorcycle riders from the Hunter region will head to the Central Coast this weekend for the 2026 MSC MOTO Australian Junior Track Championships meeting.

They are among over 120 riders from as far afield as Townsville and Albury contesting ten championship classes over age groups from seven to 16.

One youngster trying to add to his already impressive record is Cohen McCosker from Raymond Terrace.

Others like Arlo Lantry, Quade Pringle, Kash Rolla, Cade Finn and Bodie Cardinale will be hoping to gain an advantage on their rivals due to their previous experience at the track.

Not only is junior racing very watchable, corresponding meetings over the past 25 years have seen riders like World champions like Casey Stoner, Remy Gardner, Darcy Ward and Chris Holder, current performers on the world road racing stage like Jack Miller, Senna Agius and Joel Kelso and speedway stars like Brady Kurtz, Rohan Tungate and Sam Masters in action.

More recently Australian Superbike frontrunner Cameron Dunker, recently crowned inaugural FIM Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup champion Archie McDonald and dual American Flat Track champion Tom Drane have done their ‘apprenticeship’ coming through the dirt track ranks.

So the action, which gets under way at 9.30 on both Saturday and Sunday, may well feature riders who go on to carve out significant careers on not only the national stage but even the world stage over the next decade or so.

The Central Coast Junior Motor Cycle Club track is at Allen Park, Debenham Road North Somersby, near Gosford with the entry fee for spectators this weekend just $10 per vehicle.
