Watch Honda’s self-riding motorcycle

Just when you thought fully autonomous vehicles were a car thing...

We’ve seen Yamaha’s take on a motorcycle-riding robot in the form of its MotoBot. Now Honda is at the same game but its take on the idea is a bike that can balance itself and trundle about at walking pace without a rider. The Riding Assist Concept, shown at CES in Las Vegas, is heavily based on the NC750S, using the stock engine, frame and rear end. All the clever stuff is packed into the forks and steering, the bike constantly adjusts is front wheel steering angle while stationary to stop the bike from falling over — just like a trials rider!
