Launching 7th December, Red Bull Media House presents Paying the Price, a documentary that chronicles the remarkable life of professional off-road racer Toby Price. Narrated by Mark Webber, the film follows Price’s emotional journey from country kid to the first Australian winner of The Dakar Rally, and every road bump in between.
From first jumping on a bike at age two, to being one of the biggest name in off-road racing, Paying the Price shows Toby is no stranger to speed. While triumphs came often to the boy from Roto, Paying the Price also takes viewers into Toby’s world off the bike, unveiling heartbreak and tragedy in the loss of his sister, and idol and fellow rider, Kurt Caselli.
Unfortunately for Price, it didn’t stop there. In 2013, Toby crashed during a competition and broke his neck. To the surprise of doctors, not only did he walk again, but he got back on his bike and went on to win one of the most gruelling races on the planet, the notorious Dakar Rally, 2016.
Paying the Price launches globally on Tuesday, 7th December on Red Bull TV. This powerful film forms part of a series of motorsports documentaries, all released on Red Bull TV.. These films include “Sebastien Loeb: Off Roads” (29 November), “Rerun of Bryce Menzies Driving Dirty Dakar Episode” (13 December), a Team Kamaz film (20 December) and a documentary on Matthias Walkner (27 December).
