Nacho Cornejo (Monster Energy Honda Team 2020) has claimed his first special stage victory on day four of the 2020 Dakar rally in Saudi Arabia. The Chilian took the stage victory after first-place finisher Sam Sunderland (Red Bull KTM Factory Team) copped a five-minute penalty for speeding relegating the brit rider to eighth. Second on the day was Kevin Benavides, who finished 35 seconds adrift of the stage winner, followed by stage two winner Ross Branch (BAS Dakar KTM Racing Team) just 55 seconds behind Cornejo. 40-year-old Dakar veteran Paulo ‘Speedy’ Gonçalves (Hero Motorsport Team Rally) took fourth place ahead of stage three winner Ricky Brabec (Monster Energy Honda Team 2020), and Aussie Toby Price (Red Bull KTM Factory Team) in sixth.

The Monster Energy Honda Team now holds the top three positions in the general rankings, with Toby Price in fourth and Husqvarna mounted Pablo Quintanilla rounding out the top five.
