Australian standout secures top 2026 ride following breakthrough victory

Moto2 rising star Senna Agius has extended his contract with Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP through the end of the 2026 season, solidifying his place in the deep Moto2 talent pool.

At just 20 years old, Agius has quickly established himself in the intensely competitive Moto2 World Championship since making his full-time debut in 2024. The former European Moto2 champion has shown steep progression throughout his rookie campaign and a breakout 2025 season, which included a landmark victory at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone — his first win on the world championship stage.

The team confirmed the re-signing with enthusiasm, stating: “Senna Agius will stay with Intact GP in Moto2 through 2026! After a standout rookie campaign and a breakout 2025 season – including a landmark win – we are very much looking forward to another season together.”

Agius currently sits sixth in the 2025 Moto2 standings at the halfway point of the season. The standings are currently led by his Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP teammate, Manuel Gonzalez, as the series heads into this weekend’s German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring.

Senna has displayed exception race pace and level headedness this year as he continues build upon his consistency. The contract extension not only recognises Agius’ rapid growth and success, but also sets the stage for a strong title challenge in 2026, as he continues his development within one of Moto2’s top outfits.
