Much-loved in Australia’s racing scene, Michelle Eastburn now faces her toughest battle after a devastating spinal injury – and the community is racing to her side.
If you’ve spent any time around Australia’s racing circuits, chances are you’ve met Michelle Eastburn – bubbly, passionate, and an unstoppable presence in the paddock. Whether working professionally, sharing a laugh in the pits, or carving up the circuit on track days, Michelle has been part of the Aussie motorcycle scene for many years.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck mid-last year, and Michelle’s life changed forever. A devastating spinal injury left her without movement or feeling from the torso down. Despite multiple surgeries – including a major T4-T10 spinal fusion – and gruelling daily rehab, Michelle continues to fight with true grit and racer determination. The road ahead is long and demanding, and it’s time for the motorcycling community to support Michelle and repay her for the years of dedication to our fantastic sport.
Michelle’s recovery requires access to advanced rehabilitation therapies and specialised equipment not covered by insurance. Her friends and the wider motorcycling community are rallying to support her quest to regain mobility and independence; even MotoGP legends Valentino Rossi and Fabio Quartararo have sent messages of love and support, a testament to how widely Michelle is admired.
Michelle has always been there to bring warmth and happiness to every pit garage she enters and has always been there to lend a hand when needed. Now it’s our turn to give back.
