Fabio Quartararo tops the time sheets on his Monster Energy Yamaha YZR-M1 on the final day of the 2022 Misano MotoGP Official Test.
Quartararo secured 1st place in the overall combined timesheets with the fastest time of 1m31.054s making him the fastest rider of the Misano Test.
The world champion was also able to test new components for next season including a prototype 2023 engine, a new chassis, and winglets.
“It was a good test.” said Fabio “This morning we worked pretty well on the electronics of the new bike. In the afternoon we had fairings and wings to test. I‘m feeling pretty positive about next year‘s bike. The top speed looks good, so I feel super happy! It‘s a great feeling. I got a great slip stream to set the 298km/h top speed this morning. But the average of the speed was also good, this is super important. So, I‘m looking forward to having this engine in a proper race.”
The top 5 on the combined testing timesheets were: Quartararo, Bagnaia, Maverick Vinales, Enea Bastianini and Aleix Espargaro.
The 2022 MotoGP World Championship action continues at Round 15 held at the MotorLand Aragón circuit in Spain 16-18 September.
