Ben Currie had a memorable weekend at the recent British Superbike Championship round at Cadwell Park, scoring two podiums in the highly competitive Supersport class.

Riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R for the Gearlink Kawasaki team, Currie converted his sixth place qualifying position into a second place finish in Race 1 and third in Race 2.

After the race, the 22-year-old expat Aussie posted a screenshot of a Twitter message from fellow Aussie and ex-F1 driver Mark Webber, which read “keep working hard both on and off track.”

Currie responded on Facebook by saying: “I honestly don’t know what’s better, a double podium or an Aussie legend sending you a message on Twitter!”
