Tara Morrison 20th on WorldWCR debut as Neila leads qualifying, Tayla Relph on the third row

Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha) secured her first career WorldWCR Superpole Qualifying ‘win’ on day one at Donington Park. Her 1’39.687 best mark gave her the startline advantage over her closest rival so far, Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Racing Team) for Race One on Saturday 12 July.

Sara Sanchez (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team) placed third, just 0.241 seconds from Neila’s leading time.

Frenchwoman Lucie Boudesseul (GMT94-YAMAHA) was fourth under a hot English sun,

Avalon Lewis (Carl Cox Motorsports) with local rider Chloe Jones (GR Motorsport) in fifth place. She was the last rider to qualify within a second of Neila’s pole time.

Series regular for the second year, Roberta Ponziani (Klint Forward Racing Team), placed sixth, with Jessica Howden (Team Trasimeno) seventh and Pakita Ruiz (PR46+1 Racing Team) eighth.

The pre-race top ten was rounded out by Australian rider Tayla Relph (TAYCO Motorsports) and Kiwi competitor, Avalon Lewis (Carl Cox Motorsport).

Aussie Tara Morrison impressed on her WorldWCR debut, qualifying in 20th position but only a couple of seconds outside the top ten as she gets to grips with the challenging Donington layout and new machinery, making solid gains with every session.
