Australia’s elite freestyle motocross, street bike and freestyle trials stunt riders will entertain visitors to Moto Expo presented by Shannons Insurance at Melbourne Showgrounds on 23-25 November 2018.
Australia’s longest running freestyle motocross team ShowTime FMX will headline the line-up and are guaranteed to have crowds on the edge of their seats when they bring their high-flying, death-defying stunts to iconic inner city venue.
ShowTime FMX founder Gary Reid said Moto Expo is a must do event for his busy team who perform at major events around the country.
“We are very proud to be part of Moto Expo,” Reid said. “It is the best industry event of the year and one we never miss.
“Every year the riders get more extreme and our show evolves to bring something different to wow and entertain the masses.
“There is no other event where you can see the latest products unveiled, watch great racing and be entertained by a range of stunt shows,” he added.
Harley-Davidson’s newest street bike stunt rider Dean Ross will perform for the first time while crowd favourite ‘Lukey Luke’ Follacchio returns but this year, on board an MV Augusta.
“I am really looking forward to performing at Moto Expo,” Follacchio said. “It is one of my favourite events and this year I will be riding an MV Augusta.
“The crowds that come to Moto Expo love bikes and appreciate the skills it takes to ride on the finest of lines.”
Renowned movie stuntman Jack Field and the Flair Freestyle Trials show will put on a dynamic performance, pushing trials motorcycles and bicycles to their limits. Crossing the boundaries between trials, BMX and FMX the show will include stunts such as the worlds lowest motorcycle backflip off 30cm Kicker and the worlds biggest backflip on a trials motorcycle at 75ft.
Over 20,000 visitors are expected to attend the bi-annual event which also includes Crumpy’s City Slide presented by Royal Enfield, a signature flat track event of three-time Speedway World Champion Jason Crump and the Baylisstic Scramble Teams Challenge.
Crumpy’s City Slide gives licenced motorcycle riders the opportunity to put their machines to the test on a purpose-built gravel flat track in the heart of the city, the event is not a race, it is a social activity for bikes of all shapes and is limited to just 200 participants.
