KTM RECALL 1290 SUPER DUKE R | MANUFACTURER NEWS

KTM recalls 2020-2022 1290 Super Duke R models due to main wiring harness fault.

KTM recalls 1290 SUPER DUKE R models of year 2020 – 2022 to authorised KTM dealers to improve the main wiring harness.

The routing of the main wiring harness has been improved to avoid chafing areas, therefore cable ties and a frame cover will need to be retrofitted.

Customers with affected motorcycles will be informed by letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorised KTM dealer to arrange an appointment for the retrofitting.

Customers can also check online in the “Service” area on the KTM website if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.

The improvement of the main wiring harness can only be carried out by authorised KTM dealers and is a free-of-charge service performed under warranty.
