HUSQVARNA MOTORCYCLES ANNOUNCES VITPILEN AND SVARTPILEN RECALL

Husqvarna recalls Vitpilen and Svartpilen models due to possible fuel tank leak

Husqvarna Motorcycles announces the recall of 2018, 2019 and 2020 Vitpilen 701, 2019 and 2020 Svartpilen 701 and 2019 Svartpilen 701 Style machines for all markets because of possible fuel leaks.

The brand orders all tanks to be replaced with an improved component due to possible unevenness in the area of the sealing surface between the tank and fuel pump as well as tank and fuel level sensor. The improved tanks have an increased wall thickness to correct this deviation.

Customers who own one of the affected motorcycles are being informed by a personal letter and asked to immediately contact an authorised Husqvarna Motorcycles dealer to arrange an appointment for inspection and replacement. All work by authorised Husqvarna Motorcycles dealers will be carried out at no cost to Vitpilen 701, Svartpilen 701 and Svartpilen 701 Style owners.

In addition, all Husqvarna owners can check online in the ‘Service’ area of Husqvarna Motorcycles’ website to determine if their motorcycle is affected by this recall.

Further information on all authorised dealers can be found on the ‘Dealer Section’ of Husqvarna Motorcycles’ website.
