Selected Husqvarna enduro and cross country bikes, plus GASGAS motocross, enduro and cross country models, may require free rear brake caliper replacement

Husqvarna and GASGAS have announced Australian recalls affecting a wide range of off road motorcycles fitted with Braktec brake systems, with the issue centred on the rear brake caliper.

For Husqvarna, the recall covers selected 2022 to 2024 enduro and cross country models. Australian recall information also refers to Husqvarna FE and TE enduro models of various capacities from 2020 to 2024.

For GASGAS, the recall covers 2021 to 2024 motocross, enduro and cross country models. Australian recall information also refers to GASGAS EC two stroke and four stroke models of various capacities from 2020 to 2024.

According to both brands, ongoing market monitoring identified that under certain riding conditions, excessive loads may occur on the rear brake caliper, which could result in the component breaking. To address the issue, the rear brake caliper and caliper bracket must be replaced on all affected motorcycles.

Both manufacturers say affected owners should contact their local authorised dealer to book the repair, which will be carried out free of charge. Owners are also advised to provide their full VIN details when making contact to assist with parts ordering and workshop scheduling.
