The testbed bike to go everywhere!

Have you ever dreamed of owning a bike that’s adventure-ready, loaded with quality gear and proven across Australia? Here’s your chance – The Bear is downsizing, so out the door goes his unique 2019 BMW F 750 GS, impeccably kitted out with the best aftermarket components.

“I originally chose this bike for its relatively light weight, well-balanced power and impressive handling,” says The Bear. “What I didn’t anticipate was just how ideal it would be as a platform for testing the best accessories.”

Wunderlich in Germany, known for their comprehensive, high-quality range of BMW add-ons, gave The Bear free rein to pick from their catalogue.

One of the standout upgrades is the Aktivkomfort seat, which The Bear reckons has saved his bacon on more than a few occasions.

Similar praise goes to the windscreens. The Bear says: “This Extreme screen offers genuine highway protection, making a real difference in temperature control. I found myself riding comfortably between 8°C and 18°C without swapping gloves or jackets. The Vario wind deflector lets you adjust wind pressure against your helmet, reducing fatigue.”

Durability on rough bush tracks was ensured by the Radiator Guard, Sump Guard and Headlight Protector. The Bear also fitted powerful Aton LED Accessory Lights – protected by grilles – and Protection Bars.

Other premium Wunderlich gear includes robust aluminium panniers with inner bags and a 2-litre accessory fuel bottle, pannier frames, additional headlight and tank protectors, a phone holder, accessory side bags and engine covers for both sides. There’s also a Ventura carrier and bag, carbon fibre Barkbusters, an Akrapovic exhaust, a Nomad auxiliary fuel tank, an extra power socket and more. The Bear says this bike has everything “that opens and shuts”.

It has travelled 21,000km and has been maintained by respected specialists Procycles and Northside Motorcycles in Sydney.
