40 years ago, Mike ‘The Bike’ Hailwood returned from an 11-year absence from motorcycle racing, to win the 1978 Formula One TT at the Isle of Man on a specially prepared 883cc Ducati V-twin. To celebrate, Ducati took the foundations of its renowned 900 Super Sport to produce the MHR 900 – the Mike Hailwood Replica.

To mark this milestone in Ducati history, the MHR series will take pride of place at one of the year’s most anticipated two-wheeled beauty parades – the Ducati Owners Club of NSW’s 2018 Concours d’Elegance.

This year, along with classes for modern and classic Ducati’s, a special MHR feature class has been introduced alongside classes for all branches of the Ducati catalogue as well as Ducati-powered machinery and other Italian beauties.

There are trophies for Best in Class, in the 8 full Concours classic classes and the 13 modern classes.

To be held on the green at Club Marconi (at 121 Prairie Vale Rd Bossley Park in Sydney’s west) on Sunday 16 September, the Concours will be supported by a variety of trade displays, including Ducati Australia’s Big Red with a line-up of the latest Ducati models.

Grab some merchandise from the NSWDOC stand and enjoy great coffee and freshly made Pizzas while taking in the desmo delights.

Exhibitor registrations opens at 9.00 am, with a per-entrant fee of just $10 even if you enter more than one bike. The event is open to the public for a gold coin donation on entry.

Judging commences at noon, with trophy presentation at 2.00 pm.

All funds raised will be donated by DOCNSW to Ryde Royal Rehab, the club’s long-time charity partner.
