Global motorcycle event to raise funds and awareness for men’s health returns bigger than ever
Motorcycle enthusiasts around the world are preparing to don their finest attire and ride for a cause, as The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) announces its 2025 event. Scheduled for Sunday, May 18, this iconic charity ride will take place in more than 1,000 cities globally, continuing its mission to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research in partnership with Movember.
Founded in Sydney in 2012 by Mark Hawwa, the DGR has become a global movement that unites classic and vintage-styled motorcycle riders to reshape the often-negative stereotype of motorcyclists. Over the past decade, the event has raised over USD $45 million for men’s health initiatives, helping fund groundbreaking research and mental health support programs.
A Global Community, Riding for a Cause
Reflecting on the event’s milestones, Hawwa highlighted the significance of DGR’s partnership with Movember.
“Ten years ago, we knew we needed to do more for men’s health,” Hawwa said. “That’s why we partnered with the world’s largest men’s health charity, Movember. Over the years, we’ve been proud to support crucial causes like prostate cancer research and mental health. Together with our growing community, we will continue to ride dapper for men’s health.”
The ride’s ethos of style and camaraderie is underscored by its partnerships with leading motorcycle and lifestyle brands. Triumph Motorcycles is once again the event’s Official Motorcycle Partner, marking its twelfth consecutive year supporting the global movement. Triumph’s Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Stroud, echoed the brand’s commitment to the cause.
“Every year, DGR grows larger, reaching new riders across the world,” Stroud said. “It’s an opportunity for our global motorcycle community to rally together, raise funds, and open up conversations around men’s health. At its heart, it’s also a day to celebrate our passion for vintage and modern classic motorcycles while making a real difference in the lives of men everywhere.”
Luxury helmet manufacturer Hedon Helmets is also celebrating a decade of support for DGR, creating custom helmets as exclusive rewards for the top 100 fundraisers. Expanding the event’s stylish appeal, Brett Eyewear joins as a new 2025 partner, offering high-end eyewear for those with an eye for classic elegance. Long-time partners CMSNL, ELF Lubricants, and Quad Lock are also returning this year, ensuring the event continues to support riders both on and off the road.
