The Benelli TRK 702 and TRK 702X are on the way, starting at $12,990 ride away and $13,590 ride away respectively.
Benelli has announce local pricing for its new TRK 702 tourer and TRK 702X adventure tourer, both of which will be available in Benelli dealerships in late-May with introductory pricing of $12,990 ride away and $13,590 ride away respectively.
Both models are powered by a new 698cc DOHC twin-cylinder Benelli engine that makes a claimed 51.5 kW (70hp) at 8000 rpm and 70Nm of torque at 6000 rpm, and both run a trellis frame similar in design to the smaller TRK 502, but with a 50mm USD fork up front and a preload and rebound adjustable monoshock rear.
Benelli TRK 702 runs 17-inch wheels front and rear on cast alloys
The TRK 702 has 17-inch cast alloy wheels front and rear with 120/70ZR17 and 160/60ZR17 rubber, while the TRK 702X has steel-spoked aluminium wheels; a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear with 110/80R19 and 150/70R17 rubber.
Suspension stroke on both models is 140mm up front, and while the 702 has 145mm rear wheel travel, the 702X ups this to 154mm. Ground clearance is 175mm for the 702 and 205mm for the more off-road focussed 702X.
Both machines run twin 320mm discs up front, but where the 702 is equipped with four-piston radial-mount calipers, the 702X has twin-piston axial-mount calipers. The rear brake on both models is a single 260mm disc with a single-piston caliper.
The TRK 702X gets longer travel suspension, a 19-inch front and more ground clearance
Standard features on both models include a generous fairing, backlit handlebar controls, LED headlight unit, and a high-resolution 5-inch TFT colour screen with Bluetooth connectivity and a phone-mirroring solution transforms the dashboard into a navigator.
Both models feature a 20-litre fuel tank. The 702 weighs in at 232kg (wet) and the 702X at 235kg (wet).
The TRK 702 will be available in Anthracite Grey, Forest Green, and Pearl White, while the TRK 702X will be available in Anthracite Grey, Forest Green, and Moon Grey. Both models will be covered by a two-year unlimited kilometre warranty with two years of roadside assistance.
