Aussie capitalises on Granado error to take comfortable COTA victory

Archie McDonald captured Saturday afternoon’s FIM Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup race at Circuit of the Americas in Texas. Aboard his Joe Rascal Racing Harley-Davidson on Dunlop control tyres, the Australian won the seven-lap contest by 8.759 seconds after teammate Eric Granado crashed out of contention.

The Joe Rascal pairing were the class of the field, with McDonald leading for much of the race before Granado made his move, only to lose the front headed in the final turn headed as he looked to break away from the Aussie headed into the final lap.

Jake Lewis finished second on his Saddlemen Racing Harley-Davidson, with Filippo Rovelli taking third for the ParkinGo Team.

Saddlemen Racing teammates Cory West and Travis Wyman ended up fourth and fifth, respectively. Cody Wyman brought his Joe Rascal Racing Harley-Davidson home in seventh.
