World champion Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi meet their new RS-GP25 weapons

Reigning MotoGP world champion Jorge Martín and rising star Marco Bezzecchi have officially revealed Aprilia’s latest MotoGP challenger, the RS-GP25, signalling a significant step forward for the Italian manufacturer. The unveiling comes after initial testing at Montmeló, where Martín and Bezzecchi took their first laps on the highly evolved machine.

The RS-GP25 represents the beginning of a new era for Aprilia Racing, with the arrival of two young and talented riders to spearhead the project. Martín, who will race with the illustrious #1 plate following his 2024 championship victory, and Bezzecchi, keen to showcase his potential in MotoGP’s top tier, lead a strengthened line-up for the team. Long-time test rider Lorenzo Savadori continues his role, credited with playing a key part in the RS-GP’s progression in recent seasons.

RS-GP25: A Comprehensive Evolution

The RS-GP25, developed at Aprilia’s Noale headquarters under the guidance of Technical Director Fabiano Sterlacchini, aims to elevate Aprilia Racing’s competitiveness at the sharp end of the MotoGP grid. Building on last season’s achievements, the new bike features refinements across all key areas. Aerodynamics have been overhauled for improved performance, while the chassis and electronics have undergone significant upgrades. The V4 engine has also benefitted from extensive development following relaxed regulations, allowing Aprilia to refine components and boost performance further.

The Noale-based team has taken an innovative approach while staying true to its technical DNA, aiming not only to compete but to consistently challenge at the top of MotoGP. With the RS-GP25, Aprilia is striving to solidify its position as a prominent force in the championship.

Expanding Rider Support and Team Efforts

The core Aprilia Racing team featuring Martín, Bezzecchi, and test rider Savadori will receive additional backing this year from Team Trackhouse, which field MotoGP rookie and 2024 Moto2 champion Ai Ogura, alongside Raúl Fernández. The Trackhouse project, designed as a strategic partnership rather than a traditional satellite team, plays a crucial role in the RS-GP25’s ongoing development. Trackhouse’s dual-rider setup allows the sharing of invaluable data with the factory effort, creating an aligned program across all four riders.

This marks the first time in its history that Aprilia Racing will field four bikes in the most advanced specification on the MotoGP grid. The expanded presence is designed to maximise development opportunities and strengthen the team’s collective competitiveness over the course of the season.

The combination of Martín and Bezzecchi, supported by an experienced technical group and a wider development network, puts Aprilia Racing in a strong position as it prepares to start the 2025 MotoGP season. The official season launch highlights Aprilia’s ambition to challenge consistently at the pinnacle of motorcycle racing while ensuring the RS-GP25 remains a key player in the ongoing evolution of MotoGP machinery.

JORGE MARTÍN: “I’m very happy with this new challenge: winning with Aprilia. My goals are very clear, now we have to focus on being the best version of ourselves, both Aprilia and me. I’m in the right place to do great things, it will be an exciting challenge, we all have a lot of determination. I really feel the warmth of the team and I think this could be a perfect place for me. We are all very excited to start this new season.”

MARCO BEZZECCHI: “I am happy to have joined this team, the whole of Aprilia. It will be fantastic, and I am really happy to represent such an important brand. It is a great source of pride for me, both as a person and as a rider, to be part of an official team. I can’t wait to get on the track, to work and to give it a bit of gas to try to achieve good results. There is a lot of desire from everyone, and it is something that I really appreciate. I am very excited, see you in Sepang for the tests!”

FABIANO STERLACCHINI (Aprilia Technical Director): “It is a pleasure for me to begin this new adventure with Aprilia Racing. The goal for 2025 is to be consistently competitive, both in sprints and long races, aiming to achieve maximum results throughout the season. It is essential to continue to grow, working with two new, highly talented riders. This truly represents a new era for us, with a significant change after several years, both in technical management and in the rider line-up. We are particularly motivated for the new season and proud to have two new MotoGP reference riders on our team, including the World Champion.”

MASSIMO RIVOLA (Aprilia Racing CEO): “The 2025 season represents the start of a new era for Aprilia Racing, with the ambition of being protagonists and not just pursuers. The goal is clear: to always be competitive, in every race. With two strong, talented and motivated riders like Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi, and with an equally determined team and company, we can build something special. The RS-GP25 has enormous potential and our job will be to make sure that this is expressed to the maximum in the 22 championship races.”
