Honda celebrates half a century of their premium tourer with new features and colours
Since its debut in 1975, the Goldwing has evolved significantly, incorporating new technology while remaining focused on long-distance riding comfort. For its 50th year, Honda have created a special anniversary edition.
The 2025 Goldwing receives wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Aesthetic updates are the main focus, with special edition colours, commemorative badging, and Goldwing branding to mark the milestone. Buyers of the 50th Anniversary editions will also receive a coffee-table book detailing the model’s history and a limited-edition giftbox .
The standard Goldwing returns in a Matte Ballistic Black Metallic colour, featuring bold Goldwing logos on the saddlebags and side fairings, a 50th Anniversary badge in front of the seat, and an updated instrument display that reads “Since 1975” on startup. The shorter windscreen compared to the Touring versions remains a key feature, and the model is equipped with Honda’s advanced dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
Honda has also introduced two new colours for the Goldwing Premium —Bordeaux Red Metallic and Eternal Gold. Both versions include subtle Goldwing logos, the 50th Anniversary seat badge, and the option of an airbag – a feature unique to the Goldwing that utilises an acceleration sensor and main control unit for added rider safety .
Pricing for both 50th Anniversary models is yet to be announced, but availability is expected from April 2025.
