Get ready for an adrenaline-charged Easter weekend as the 2025 Australian Junior Dirt Track Championships roar into life!

Fans are in for a feast of high-octane action, where not only will the best young riders in the country battle for glory, but spectators might just be watching future legends of the sport in the making – think future senior stars, or even the next generation of national and world champions, rising before your very eyes.

History tells the story. Over the past quarter of a century, junior title meets like this one have been the launchpad for global icons such as Casey Stoner, Remy Gardner, Darcy Ward, Chris Holder and more. Today’s road-racing heroes like Jack Miller, Senna Agius and Joel Kelso, along with speedway sensations Brady Kurtz, Rohan Tungate and Sam Masters, all cut their teeth at events just like this. So don’t blink: you might miss the birth of another superstar.

While it may not necessarily be Sunday’s champions who go on to rule the sport, one thing’s for sure: the sheer depth of talent on display guarantees edge-of-your-seat racing that could rival, if not surpass, anything the senior ranks have to offer.

The Kurri Kurri Junior Motorcycle Club is set to host a bumper field of nearly 100 riders, with a powerhouse contingent from Queensland, fierce challengers from Victoria, and a strong local line-up from across New South Wales.

Last year’s showdown at Somersby delivered unforgettable clashes, especially in the thrilling 13 to Under 16s class, where Neiko Donovan from Townsville and Thomas Gotts from the ACT lit up the track. Gotts may carry a slight advantage this year, having already tasted victory at Kurri Kurri last month, clinching the prestigious Junior Masters title.

Keep an eye on rising stars like Hugh Hope-Hodgetts from Forbes, Jed Fyffe and Tommy Wright from Albury-Wodonga, Nate Jaeger from Gunnedah, and Queenslanders Jake Paige, Hamish Bibby and Kai Moran. Meanwhile, hometown heroes Bodie Cardinale and Zac Brady will be flying the flag high for the Kurri Kurri club.

Defending her title for the home club is the formidable Ruby James, determined to repeat last year’s dominant performance. And don’t discount local talents Braxsen Anderson and Cohen McCosker, who have just stepped up to the fiercely competitive 9 to Under 13 category and are hungry for honours.

Other returning champions include Hugo Holmes from Gunnedah, Riley Holder from Kempsey, and Cooper Quinn from the Gold Coast – all ready to defend their crowns in what promises to be a spectacular weekend of racing.

And it’s not just the older juniors stealing the spotlight. The younger brackets, from the 7 to Under 9s, riding their smaller capacity machines, are equally captivating. These pint-sized powerhouses show incredible skill, poise and racecraft that belies their years.

Classes with big grids will feature an exhilarating four rounds of heats, followed by a cutthroat repechage and a final showdown, while smaller classes will battle it out over five rounds of points racing.

Festivities kick off with practice at 9am on Saturday, rolling straight into the first round of racing. Sunday promises even more action, starting with a Parade Lap before the racing resumes at full throttle. Spectators can enjoy the entire weekend for just $5 per vehicle, with full canteen facilities on-site to keep the energy levels high.

Make your way to Dickson Road, Loxford, and be part of this unmissable Easter weekend. Get ready to cheer, shout, and witness the future of dirt track racing before your very eyes…
